Leviton Lighting now offers its customers the ability to wirelessly control next generation lighting with the addition of its smart Intellect brand. Intellect is Leviton Lighting’s fifth brand to join its growing global portfolio along with its other existing brands Birchwood, ConTech, Intense, and JCC. Intellect is offered as a Controls Platform to support Leviton Lighting’s growing smart-ware and Internet of Things (IoT) functionality through the Leviton Cloud.
With the inclusion of the Intellect brand, Leviton Lighting is both a lighting hardware provider and a controls solutions provider utilizing the lighting infrastructure. Development of the Intellect Controls Platform allows Leviton to keep up with market needs and to support the future of smart buildings.
The Intellect Controls Platform provides customers with an end-to-end professional lighting and wireless control solution; streamlined offering that allows greater freedom of design in almost any space, with professional smart lighting control based on wireless technology.
Controlling luminaires wirelessly via Intellect offers energy-saving, code compliant solutions and enables simplified operations. The current system is designed for out-of-the-box Title 24, ASHRAE 90.1, IECC code compliance, and is DesignLights Consortium (DLC) qualified for Advanced Lighting Controls. It utilizes local control for secure advanced lighting control, including 0-10V dimming, occupancy sensing and daylight harvesting.
Intellect also provides user-friendly, plug-and-play commissioning capabilities via the Intellect mobile application (app), available for iOS and Android mobile devices. The app connects to the Intellect wall-stations via Bluetooth, allowing users to safely configure and update each room. The wall-stations reduce system downtime by connecting directly to line voltage, and are secure since they do not require a network connection.
Intellect embedded fixtures from Leviton Lighting include an embedded Intellect sensor and Power Control Module providing a simple out-of-the-box wireless solution, while the Intellect enabled fixtures from Leviton Lighting include an embedded Intellect Power Control Module allowing for a larger selection of fixtures to be used with Intellect. Just simply connect and install Intellect Sensor remote from the fixture for a seamless connection to the Intellect system.
