EyeLock enters into business relationship with ADI for security products to penetrate biometric market

EyeLock, an iris-based identity authentication solutions provider, announced Friday that it has entered into a business relationship with ADI Global Distribution, a leading distributor of security and low-voltage products. ADI will now offer EyeLock’s iris biometrics products in their over 100 North American branch locations.

EyeLock’s technology provides a greater level of convenience and security with unmatched biometric accuracy, making it the most proven way to authenticate identity aside from DNA. EyeLock’s proprietary iris authentication technology looks at more than 240 unique iris characteristics and provides a fast, user-friendly experience. EyeLock is one of the only companies in the world to utilize dual-eye authentication.

Iris authentication is highly secure because no two irises are alike and the iris is the most accurate human identifier other than DNA. The company’s significant IP portfolio, including more than 75 patents and patents pending, and proprietary technology enables the convenient and secure authentication of individuals across physical and logical environments.

EyeLock’s solutions have been integrated and embedded across consumer and enterprise products and platforms, eliminating the need for PINs and passwords. Corporations across enterprises to recognize the level of security. EyeLock provides due in part to its extremely low false acceptance rate, ease of use, and scalability.

As a sponsor member of the Fast IDentity Online (FIDO) Alliance, a non-profit organization dedicated to creating a safer and more secure digital presence for consumers, EyeLock is dedicated to advancing digital privacy and next generation security.

“We are excited to be working with ADI,” said Anthony Antolino, Chief Marketing and Business Development Officer at EyeLock.  “ADI’s technical expertise, global reach and proven track record for delivering security products will allow us further penetration into the rapidly growing biometric market.”

“EyeLock’s products are easy to use and integrate with many of the world’s largest and most respected access control platforms, and are offered at a very competitive price point in the marketplace,” said Marco Cardazzi, Vice President of Marketing North America at ADI.  “Whether securing a data center or eliminating the need for access control cards in enterprise environments, EyeLock’s products enable us to offer our customers the very best in biometric technology.”

Last month, EyeLock announced new technology that authenticates identities at distances of 60 cm, with glasses, contact lenses and daylight. The technology is architected for implementation across smartphones and mobile devices, as well as automotive, healthcare and other edge-of-network applications.

EyeLock’s technology represents a breakthrough in proprietary software, security, algorithms and optics, and delivers the most secure, reliable and user-friendly capabilities, outperforming the iris recognition solutions available from Samsung, Fujitsu and Microsoft Lumia.

With the rapid proliferation of biometric modalities across IoT devices, EyeLock’s new technology addresses the growing demand for increased security protocols for devices and the use case applications that power the world. The technology benefits OEM licensees and the market-at-large, including financial services, healthcare, automotive, enterprise and government sectors, by delivering a solution to mitigate security threats while providing consumers a more convenient way to transact.
